Discover the captivating Merzouga Desert on a 3-day private tour from Marrakech. Explore ancient kasbahs, traverse the Atlas Mountains, and experience an unforgettable night in the desert. Our journey begins promptly from Marrakech at 8 AM, with our driver waiting at your designated pick-up location. We’ll cross the scenic Tizi N’Tichka pass, reaching an elevation of 2,260 meters. Along the route, you’ll have the chance to visit a traditional Berber village, immersing yourself in the simplicity and charm of local life.
Our next stop is the famous Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its stunning architecture and historic significance. This ancient kasbah has served as the backdrop for numerous Hollywood films, including “The Mummy,” “Gladiator,” “Seven Years in Tibet,” and “Alexander the Great.”
Continuing our adventure, we’ll explore Ouarzazate and its picturesque surroundings in the Valley of Roses, known for its scenic beauty and fragrant rose fields. As evening approaches, we’ll settle in for a night of relaxation and Moroccan hospitality at a Riad nestled in the serene Dades Gorges, where a delicious dinner awaits.
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel. We’ll begin our day by exploring the stunning Dades Gorges, known for their dramatic rock formations and scenic beauty. Our journey then takes us to Merzouga, which is a beautiful Saharan village located in southeastern Morocco. Well-known for its towering sand dunes, the highest in the country. Merzouga has become a popular destination for travelers from all corners of the globe.
Upon arrival, you’ll have to experience a camel ride into the heart of the golden dunes. As evening approaches, we’ll unwind and savor a traditional Moroccan dinner under the starlit sky. Spending the night in cozy tents nestled in the golden dunes of Merzouga.
Prepare for a peaceful and picturesque camel ride lasting one hour. Allowing you to soak in the stunning sunrise over the desert. After this unforgettable experience, we’ll gather for a delicious breakfast. Following breakfast, we’ll begin our return journey to Marrakech, passing through beautiful landscapes and enjoying the scenery along the way. Our estimated arrival back in Marrakech is in the late afternoon, around 6:30 PM. Marking the end of our enriching excursion to Merzouga.
